After having been one of the few French cities to have maintained its summer festival in 2021 against all odds in a difficult sanitary context, the City of Carcassonne, on the strength of this experience, is already ready to welcome its public for a reunion at the 2022 Carcassonne Festival which already promises to be exceptional.
In the Medieval City, all places are seated and in the open air with only 3,000 places for the Jean-Deschamps Theater and 500 places for the Château Comtal.
In July 2021, the City had played the safety card above all, setting up exemplary conditions for welcoming the public, welcomed by the artists but also the public of the Jean-Deschamps Theater.
In 2022, so that everyone can enjoy shows and concerts in complete safety, the Festival team will once again do everything possible to welcome spectators in the strictest respect of health standards.
Regarding the conditions of access to the Carcassonne Festival, the vaccination pass is currently compulsory. Other health constraints cannot be ruled out (wearing a mask, test, gauge, etc.), and will depend on the situation in July 2022 and the government directives in force at that time.
In any case, the Carcassonne Festival will respect the measures that will be put in place by the government on French territory, as part of the fight against the spread of COVID-19. In this sense, the purchase of show ticket(s) automatically induces the acceptance of these future measures. It should be noted that a disagreement with the latter cannot give rise to a refund.
