Film by Michèle Dominici
- 2 July 2021 - 22:00 /

Thirty-five years after her death, in 1985, Michèle Dominici composes from archives, interviews and extracts from her films the portrait of an actress who refused all her life to be a star, a activist who was never inserted, of an artist who made the choice of love and freedom. The adventure of a free woman, far from conformisms and stereotypes, a woman who all her life fought for a certain idea of the truth. Michèle Dominici got the idea for her first film while reading New Scientist , while she was working at the Science Museum in London. “The clitoris, this dear unknown”, broadcast on Arte in 2003, was the first documentary devoted to this taboo organ. He was going to set the tone for his future creations, all imprinted with a concern for transmission and emancipation, in short of politics. Then followed a portrait of the Minister "Léon Schwartzenberg, the rebel", an exploration of the movements of 1968, "A world in revolts", a saga of the pioneers of feminism in England "The suffragettes, neither doormats, nor prostitutes", a photograph of parity in progress, "Madam Minister", an investigation into a false truth, "Depression, a global epidemic", a critical portrait of the photographer "Bettina Rheims , the factory of Icons", and finally, the story of a woman who knew how to grow old free, "Simone Signoret, Free Figure". She is currently working on her next film, "The Wonderful (and Tragic) Tale of the Housewife".
